Gender, Sexuality and Identity Support.

I am a safe space to process developing parts of your sexual desires, sexual orientation, gender identity and relationship styles. Whether you are seeking support as an LGBTQIA+ person, or identify as heterosexual and are seeking support finding your sexual self or communicating with your partner about desires and boundaries, let me guide you to tools and supports that will help you access your most authentic and embodied self. I work with both single and partnered individuals, but do not work with couples.

I also work with individuals who identify on the Ace spectrum to find intimacy with self and others that feels authentic and fulfilling.

I am an advocate and research nerd; let me help you advocate for respect with your work, family, partners etc and be a team mate in your search for resources. Research can be exhausting. Finding LGBTQIA+ affirming therapists, doctors and other necessary supports can be time consuming and at times, disappointing. I would be so happy to help you on that journey as an emotional and a logistical support.

Below are an incomplete list of topics I would enthusiastically tackle with you as you navigate your sexual identity:

  • Self reflection and knowing one’s self

  • Managing conflict with family, friends and work

  • Coming out

  • Embodying your true self

  • Inclusive and medically relevant sex education and harm reduction

  • Advocating for yourself

  • Navigating changing desire

  • Changing relationship dynamics

  • Knowing what you want

  • Facing and Embracing desire

  • Communicating desire and needs

  • Unlearning sex negativity and shame

  • Critically looking at narratives you have internalized around intimacy

  • Talking to partners about your sexual health needs and boundaries

If you are looking to support someone you love in this process but it is bringing up some difficult feelings for you, you deserve support too. I can provide space to process your thoughts or feelings, explore new parts of your identity or consider how a partner’s identity impacts your own. I can help guide you to tools and exercises that will allow you to self regulate and provide the best support to yourself or partners. If you are in need of support navigating a partner’s identity, please see the list below of just some of the topics we could explore together:

  • What does this mean for my identity?

  • Honoring your feelings and finding support

  • Communicating with your partner kindly

  • Advocating for your partner

  • Navigating changing expectations

  • Finding resources and education

  • Unlearning sex negativity and shame

  • Critically looking at narratives you have internalized around intimacy

I also sometime offer groups for various identities to help you find community and peers as an additional support network. Here is a list of group offerings:

[some groups are still in the development process, I would be happy to work with you or your community to customize it to your exact needs]

  • Coming out: newly queer and finding community after internalized homophobia and performative heterosexuality

  • My partner is LGBTQ

  • Media and porn literacy: what we have been told and unlearning what no longer works (for adults)

  • Creating caring endings

  • Sex toys, porn and self pleasure

  • New to kink and navigating desire

  • Opening up - navigating polyamory and open relationships
